1-3/4"-2" Clamp-On Wideband Oxygen Sensor Bung Adapter

Drilling the necessary hole size, and putting the clamp together was a challenge, working under a car with a jack stand. All in all it worked out.

Back story: Car is a 2001 Honda CR-V. My catalytic converter was stolen and they took the O2 sensor with them. Got a shop to put in a straight pipe but the car was running rich and throwing codes. Don't need a tune on this car so decided to just put another sensor in it, this adapter gives me a place to plug it in.

to go on a pipe that is just barely over 2". It was too small. I returned it and got the 2¼" size but it is too big. and moves around on the pipe. I put some shims in to meet the diameter of the adapter, but I wish there was some better way to get to the size I need. It's whatever the shop threw in there which is roughly what my car came with.

Also, while installing it was tough to keep the gasket material in the right place, it wouldn't stick to the pipe, it kept sticking to the wrong thing and becoming misaligned with the hole I drilled. Eventually I think I got it, but the glue on the gasket definitely didn't help.

The instructions were a little unclear - Is the inside end of the bung supposed to fit into the hole in the exhaust or not? I decided to leave it as-is, and let the gasket seal the hole, but I'm not sure if it will end up leaking or not.

Customer service was great. They processed my return request quickly and gave me clear instructions, no questions asked. I sent it back and got my refund on the original part.
