1/8-27 NPT Drill Tap Tool Kits come in handy when you’re installing a Type K Thermocouple EGT Probe for one of our Pyrometer Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauges. You have to add the probe to your car or truck’s exhaust manifold and this kit will give you access to the manifold.

The kit size is compatible with the thread size on our 1/8-27 NPT Thermocouple EGT Probes. Carefully drill until you gain access to the manifold and then use the tap to finish it up. These drill tap kits are also tough and durable so the drills won’t break unlike a lot of brittle kits that are out there.

The size R high speed steel drill bit’s total length is 4 3/4" with a 118° point that drills the perfect hole with pinpoint precision. The cobalt finish increases lubricity and chip flow and can be used in a lot of different applications.

The end result is a cleanly drilled hole so you can thread in the EGT Probe. Make the necessary wiring connections to your Pyrometer EGT Gauge and you’ll have access to incredibly accurate readouts that are being delivered directly from the exhaust manifold.
