Install a temperature sender with a GlowShift Transmission & Oil Pan Temperature Sensor Adapter Kit.

These senders are available with our Trans Temp Gauges and Oil Temp Gauges and deliver direct access to extremely accurate readings for your car or truck.

Each kit comes with everything you’ll need to install a temperature sender to your vehicle’s transmission pan or oil pan. Included is a 1/8-27 NPT temperature sensor adapter with a port for a standard temp sensor, a nylon washer with a nut, and a 1/8-27 NPT plug.

Get started by selecting a flat portion along the engine oil or transmission pan and drill a hole with a 1/2” drill bit. Then slide the fitting inward from the outside and secure the washer and nut on the outside.

Once secure, thread in and tighten the temperature sensor using a 14mm wrench. We also recommend using Teflon tape on the threads. The plug we include caps the adapter if you decide to install the sensor at a later time.

The next step is connecting the gauge sensor harness to the sensor and running it through an opening in the firewall to the gauge. Once you’ve confirmed full functionality of the gauge and temperature readings, you’re ready to go.
