Vehicle Specific GlowShift Gauge Pods for the Chevy Cobalt
GlowShift Cobalt SS gauge pods are designed for specific model years including the 2005-2010 Chevy Cobalt. There is no such thing as “One Size Fits All” at GlowShift, and these are not universal gauge pods that have been rebranded for a specific vehicle. When creating a gauge pod for a year range of this Chevrolet model, each pod goes through an extensive manufacturing process to ensure that it is an exact fit. When we manufacture gauge pods, our primary goal from start to finish in the design process is ensuring that each pod precisely matches the make and model it was built for in every aspect. These gauge pods are also constructed using premium quality ABS plastic to withstand cracking, fading and warping. Depending on the style you choose, select the number of 2-1/16” (52mm) gauges to install. Mounting hardware required for installation is also provided to make the process near-effortless.
How Do I Install GlowShift Chevy Cobalt Gauge Pods?
Installing a Cobalt SS triple gauge pod is a breeze with GlowShift. These Cobalt pillar gauge pods are a complete replacement and will require removal of the factory A-pillar trim. Partially remove the weather stripping surrounding the factory A-Pillar. Then remove the factory A-pillar trim by removing the bolt cover using a flathead screwdriver; use a 7mm socket wrench to remove the bolt. Mark and drill a hole in the pillar pod using a 1/8” drill bit following the steps below. Place Painter’s Tape over the pod in order to mark and drill the hole without damaging the pod. Measure 1-7/8” down from the upper left side next to where the weather strip would be located and then 2-7/16” across. Connect the 2-1/16” [52mm] gauge wires to their sensors and power by following the instructions that are included with the gauges. Then install the pillar pod to the factory A-pillar support using the included screw. This screw installs through the predrilled hole on the pod. To ensure a proper fit, thread the screw into the A-Pillar support, but do not completely tighten. After these steps have been completed, reinstall the weather strip and adjust the pillar pod so that it lines up properly to the windshield. Once aligned, tighten the bolt. Your Cobalt pillar pod will be installed and ready for use in no time.
