Why Do I Need A Narrowband Air Fuel Gauge?
A narrowband gauge is the more cost effective version of a wideband air fuel ratio gauge, which is integral to measuring the mixture of air and fuel in your vehicle’s engine. Other benefits include that in most cases it is relatively easy to connect to a stock narrowband O2 sensor. Ultimately, these gauges are useful in giving drivers a broad view of air-to-fuel ratios. The drawback of a narrowband AFR gauge is that it doesn’t deliver the most accurate readings available for your car or truck. GlowShift’s Narrowband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge will give you the ability to measure your Lean, Optimal and Rich levels. But for more precise monitoring we recommend our Wideband Gauges.
How Do I Install My Narrowband Gauge?
With access to your vehicle’s stock narrowband oxygen sensor, you can begin the process of installing this Narrowband AFR Gauge by simply connecting the provided Color Coded Wire Harness to the narrowband O2 sensor. If your vehicle does not have a sensor, we offer a Narrowband Air/Fuel Ratio Oxygen Sensor separately. Once all of the additional harness connections have been made, run it to your cabin and to the location where you install these automotive gauges. GlowShift has a wide variety of Gauge Pods available for your A-pillar, dash and more. Easily connect the harness to the back of the gauge with the Plug and Play connector and you will have access to accurate Narrowband Air/Fuel Ratio readings.
Should I Install A Digital Or Analog Narrowband Gauge?
Installing a Digital or Analog Narrowband Air Fuel Gauge all depends on the type of style you prefer for your car or truck. The benefits of analog gauges include the ability to match them to the analog gauges of your factory dashboard panel. If you prefer the look of a sleek digital readout, our digital Narrowband AFR Gauges for cars and trucks will enhance your vehicle’s interior with readings on an ultra-bright LED display utilizing your choice between multiple color options. Either way, both will give you readings provided with pinpoint accuracy that will keep you updated to the second on your engine’s air to fuel mixture.
